My Bio
Detective Inspector Fyo Percy, H Division, Whitechapel, at your service. Grouchy history tutor and purveyor of all sorts of nonsense. I cry about kings named Richard and Henry and also I write far too much fanfic about the Henriad.
I have a BA in history and minored in religious studies, English, and medieval studies and I plan on either working in digital humanities to teach about the Middle Ages or being a shaman who wears masks and scares spirits and small children.
What else to say about me... I'm a Christian, obsessed with history and Shakespeare's Henriad (Hotspur is my favorite character and right now I'm really into Richard II), like playing video games, and really wish I had a Skiddo. As you can probably tell from my photography, I visit the Lowcountry (coastal South Carolina and Georgia) maybe once a year or so though I live in the Midwest (also have lived in the Southwest). I'm currently working on a modern English translation of the Middle English poetry of Charles, Duke of Orleans and it's probably fair to say I love Charles more than myself.

So I haven't updated in a long time and I don't really see the point in doing so. DA is basically useless now with this garbage layout and there's no way to change it back and I can't stand it. My god. I log onto dA and everything has gone to pot. I can't believe they switched the layout entirely to Eclipse, this looks terrible, you can't find anything! I WAS going to give an update on stuff but I can't stand looking at this right now. Maybe later.

School starts up next week. Yay. Year six of college.
Okay, so things have actually changed a lot. During break I reconsidered my career prospects and I'm going to be moving away from English and the humanities for a while to train in computer science, probably programming/web development, because it's way easier to get a job in that than in history related careers. I still want to be a historian, but I can't afford grad school right now and academia is not exactly a thriving job market. Unfortunately to have any chance at being credible/taken seriously in history, I have to have at least an MA, which I'm separated from by being poor and dis
